Global Care Dubbo No Interest Loan Scheme provides No Interest Loans to low income families throughout the Region.
How do you know if you are eligible for a Global Care NILS loan?Â
If you answer ‘yes’ to the following questions you are eligible
to apply for a No Interest Loan through one of the locations listed on the locations pages.
- Are you on a low income, e.g. the holder of a health care or pension card?
- Will this loan improve the wellbeing or health of yourself or your family?Â
Global Care NILS loans have a number of advantages:
- They are without interest or fees but must be repaid within 12 - 18 months
- Borrowing money from other lenders may cost you a lot more in the long run through excessive interest and fees.
- The Global Care NILS providers work with you to find the arrangement that works best.
- Dealing with Global Care NILS service is free and confidential.
- Essential goods purchased with a Global Care NILS loan are brand new.
Global Care NILS loans can be used to buy essential household items such as
- Fridges
- Freezers
- Washing Machines
- Heaters
- Items approved for medical purposes
- Ovens
- Household Appliances
- Furniture
Global Care NILS does not provide loans for
- Emergency relief
- Debt repayment
- Tenancy bonds
- Travel
- General living expenses, e.g. phone
How do I apply for a loan?
Global Care Dubbo No Interest Loan Scheme has several approved agencies throughout the Region.

What do I do then?
You will be requested to attend an interview with a Loans Officer and you will be asked to provide some documentation, such as:
- your income statement
- proof of identity,
- proof of residency for 9 months. Lease, Declaration or Rates.
- most recent rent or mortgage receipt or statement
- most recent utility bills (electricity, gas, water, phone)
- recent statement showing balance of credit cards, loans, store accounts, rental agreements etc.
- most recent bank statements ( 3 months )
- and information on your household budget.
- 2 (where possible) quotes for the item you wish to purchase. The quote must be valid for 30days, and show the warranty period. Please ask your Retailer to provide a written quote, and bring it with you to your interview.
Can I get help with my household budget?
Yes there is help available!
A household budget is simply listing your income (from your Centrelink statement), then adding up what you spend your money on each fortnight (your expenses). Then subtract your budget from your income. A NILS budget form can be downloaded and printed:

Your Bank Statement will help to complete your budget, as it may show regular income as well as payments.
